Buy Chestnuts
Charcoal-roasted chestnuts offered on street corners are a sure sign that winter is near. You can roast your own chestnuts at home in the fireplace, in the oven or in a frying pan on top of the stove. Cooking them in the fireplace is the most desired - it leaves them charred on the outside - melt in your mouth on the inside, all part of the fun. Chestnuts are about 50% water so you must keep them in the refrigerator until you are ready to use them.
